“As we speak on Victory Day we’re aware of that much more acutely,” he added earlier than making a risk about nuclear weapons.
“Our strategic forces are all the time fight prepared,” he stated, referring to Russia’s nuclear capabilities.
The Kremlin is planning to carry weapons assessments simulating the deployment of tactical, short-range nuclear weapons in southern Russia and Putin addressed considerations over these assessments in feedback to state broadcasters after the Victory Day parade.
“There may be nothing uncommon right here, that is deliberate work,” Putin stated. “It’s coaching.”
The Russian president ended his Victory Day speech with the clarion name, “For Russia! For victory! Hurrah”, prompting cheers from hundreds of troopers.
